The scientific staff of Russian
"BIFO Company"
have a more than thirty-year experience in the field of design and
production of special image converter instrumentation for investigation of
various high-speed processes.
We have developed many types of the image converter
cameras. It is known that these instruments which produced by such well-known
companies as Hamamatsu (Japan), Hadland Photonics (Great Britain) and Thomson
CSF (France) are very expensive. Therefore many universities, scientific centers
and laboratories can’t buy the image converter cameras because of its high cost.
With aim of liquidation this situation we have designed
and produced during several years a
new "K008 SINGLE FRAME & STREAK
CAMERA" with 20 picosecond temporal resolution in streak mode (sweep range is
from 1ns/cm up to 300μs/cm) and frame duration from 10ns up to 600μs in framing
mode. It is the smallest and lightest (3,5 kg) camera in the world among the
cameras of this type. It has been developed on the basis of serial
components; that’s why
it is 2-3 times cheaper than its
well-known analogues of the companies mentioned above.
Possible fields of K008 camera application:
- ballistic investigation,
- investigations of combustion processes, detonation, explosion, as well
as scattering of envelopes, ground fragments and other particles,
- shock waves physics,
- laser physics, nonlinear optics and non-stationary spectroscopy,
- nuclear physics and plasma physics including thermonuclear synthesis
and so on,
- electric breakdowns and discharges, including the lightning,
- ecology (a register in LIDAR systems of detection, determination of
location and chemical composition of harmful substances thrown into atmosphere
or into the water) etc.
